CHARLIE LE MINDU: LONDON WOMENSWEAR A/W2011

Fusing fashion, fetish and trashy imagery, Charlie’s latest collection once again shocked and outraged attendees of the show in this seasons London A/W 2011 collection. Dubbed ‘Berlin Syndrome’, the collection was inspired by wartime Berlin’s decadence and delirium insanity. Using Third Reich insignia, Charlie created hand crafted headpieces and a lace gas-mask that appears to vomit a stream of lush- dusty blonde hair.

The collection consisted of long gowns, dresses, shorts, trench coats and jacket. All covered and made with soft buttercup lace, tight transparent PVC, and beading on both men and women. Of course the involvement of Le Mindu’s signature, hair was also vocal and central in this collection as ever. Models were sent to the catwalk with a giant mohawk with phallic symbolism sprayed all over and hair drenched with blood (fake of course). Perfectly fitting the violent, brutal and raw message of the show was its soundtrack which, included recordings of a porcine massacre. We give a special thanks to Kapbambino for creating this! We also give a very warm hearted thank you and kiss to Hairdreams which since the beginning of charlies collection  being so supportive ,
Charlie now only work with them has himself says there the best quality extentions he ever worked with .

For those that did not attend, please take a look at the stills from the show below. Thanks to Christoper Moore for catwalk images.
